April is a Staff Accountant based in Jackson, MS. She served as a Teller at Trustmark National Bank for 6 years before joining the Accounting Team in 2014 with the Jackson Public School District (JPS). She worked as a Student Activity Fund Accountant, where she processed purchase orders, invoices, and reconciled and managed accounts for over 50 schools in Jackson Public Schools. During the 2021-2022 school year, April transitioned to a General Ledger Accountant for Jackson Public School District. Many of her daily duties consisted of making journal entries, daily deposits and maintaining all the district accounts.
April is a proud alumna of the Jackson State University, where she received her Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting. Additionally, she continued her education at Delta State University, where she received her Master’s in Business Administration.
April is the proud mother of two children, a son, and daughter. In her free time,she enjoys traveling and loves spending lots of time with her family and friends.
