As a Director at Third Sector’s Boston office, Sarah delivers feasibility assessments, technical assistance, and project construction support to government, nonprofit, and philanthropic clients. Prior to joining Third Sector, Sarah managed neighborhood-based Settlement Houses in Syracuse and Rochester, New York.
At the Syracuse Northeast Community Center, Sarah led daily operations to include directing programs and service delivery, building operational systems and capacity, writing and managing grants and contracts, and strategically aligning programs and community partners with social determinants of health outcomes. Additionally, Sarah co-led advocacy work on behalf of 65 agencies in the region in order to collaboratively respond to developing concerns while providing a forum for discussion and education on social justice and general welfare issues. Sarah is passionate about work that promotes equity for women and girls and has interned with Planned Parenthood and has volunteered with Girl Scouts and Big Sisters.
Sarah holds a B.A. from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University, graduating summa cum laude with a double major in Policy Studies and Geography. While at Syracuse University, she completed research in Sargur, India to develop menstrual health curriculum for a school community to help alleviate social stigma for adolescent girls while addressing access to education and health concerns.
