As a Director in Third Sector’s San Francisco office, Oliver drives fundraising initiatives and supports the cultivation of financial stakeholders for Pay for Success projects.
Oliver comes to Third Sector from the Taproot Foundation, where he worked with leading companies to design and implement programs that engaged private sector talent in skills-based projects focused on social impact. Prior to Taproot Foundation, Oliver worked with the national veteran organization The Mission Continues, where he led the organization’s program evaluation, managed a series of research partnerships focused on understanding veterans’ reintegration into civilian life, and helped launch a national service program that engages returning post-9/11 veterans in continued service to their communities. Oliver has also served as an AmeriCorps corps member with City Year Boston, a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, and the field director for two statewide political campaigns.
Outside of work, Oliver competes in jiujitsu and submission grappling and volunteers with the national nonprofit New Politics, a nonpartisan initiative to engage military veterans, returned Peace Corps volunteers and AmeriCorps alumni in the political process.
