Michelle is an Associate at Third Sector’s San Francisco office. Prior to joining Third Sector, Michelle worked for The Philanthropy Workshop (TPW), where she developed immersive programs that taught strategic philanthropy to TPW’s global network of over 450 social investors.
Michelle graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Information Science and concentration in User Experience, through which she honed her skills in human-centered design and developed technologies with a social impact focus. While at Cornell, she interned as a Designer for Classy.org, an online fundraising platform for nonprofits, and as a Program Support Intern for the AjA Project, an organization that transforms refugee youth and communities through arts-based programming.
During her time at Cornell, Michelle also worked as a Facilitator for Cornell’s Intergroup Dialogue Project, an academic initiative grounded in theory and practice that creates community across difference through dialogue. As a facilitator for the program, she equipped students with the tools and skills necessary to dialogue across sociocultural difference and promote equity in their communities.
