As a Manager in Third Sector's Boston office, Joel provides feasibility assessments, technical assistance, and project construction support to government, nonprofit, and philanthropic clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Joel worked across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors and pursued multi-disciplinary academic training.
In the public sector, Joel worked for the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. In one stint, he planned technical cooperation projects at the Ministry of Planning and Development and in another stint, he led research, policy, and strategic planning projects at the Ministry of Public Utilities. In the private sector, Joel worked at the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation where he provided clearing and settlement services to financial market clients. In the nonprofit sector, he co-founded the Calabash Consortium—a Caribbean-based youth development non-profit—and managed its portfolio of youth empowerment programs.
Joel is a summa cum laude graduate of Monroe College with a BBA in Management and Finance. He graduated from Saint Mary's University as an Organization of American States Scholar with an MA in International Development Studies and from Oxford University as a Chevening Scholar with a Master in Public Policy.
