Emily Wood serves as Communications Manager in Third Sector’s Boston office, where she leads public relations activities for the firm.
Emily has more than fifteen years’ experience leading and expanding communications efforts for local and national mission-based organizations focused on public policy issues including higher education, workforce development, and economic prosperity for the middle class. Prior to joining Third Sector, she served as the director of communications for Campus Compact. She has also led communications and public affairs strategy for the National Fund for Workforce Solutions at Jobs for the Future and the Massachusetts Institute for a New Commonwealth (MassINC). In these roles, she developed communications plans, built and implemented outreach activities, advanced strategic partnerships and programming, and worked across sectors to increase organizational and issue awareness. Emily holds a master’s degree from Suffolk University and received her bachelor’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University.
