Emily is currently a Director at Third Sector. She has been a driving force in the San Francisco office since the summer of 2014, previously in the role of Manager. She leads efforts in workforce and economic opportunity, supporting government clients in improving employment, education, and career pathway outcomes. Emily is passionate about combining qualitative and quantitative data into feedback loops that lead to more equitable outcomes for communities with poor access to critical services. Her favorite part of Third Sector’s work is seeing relationships between government and community-based organizations transform to become more cooperative. She is overseeing the two-year Better Careers Design Group project.
In the past, Emily has completed projects focused on improving family, maternal and early childhood outcomes. She has functional experience in the following: needs assessments/problem framing, outcomes-driven solutions plans/roadmaps, and continuous improvement processes.
Emily graduated with honors from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College before embarking on five years of work in private sector financial consulting. When she is not at Third Sector you can find her at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center where she is a devoted student and teacher, at City College San Francisco where she’s studying creative writing, or practicing guitar.
